Floor made of compressed rock composite with a double layer of protection. Demonstrates high impact sturdiness and high resistance to water, stains, scratches and UV rays. Effectively reduces sound propagation. Its 5mm thick planks provide remarkable stability. Suitable for underfloor heating systems built in a cement screed.

Suitable substrates

Wood Rock 55 can be installed over:

- Concrete with a moisture barrier
- Wooden subfloors
- Ceramic tiles
- Existing PVC, lino, laminate or parquet flooring, provided they are in good condition and firmly bonded to the subfloor

Not recommended: not suitable for rooms exposed to significant temperature fluctuations, such as saunas or conservatories.

Directions for use

Installation

  • Glue-free floating installation with a click-lock system.
  • Install over a clean, dry, level, stable and sufficiently strong subfloor.
  • Leave a 6.5 mm expansion gap around the walls and all fixed objects.
  • Before installation, leave the unopened packs lying flat for 48 hours in the room where the flooring will be installed, at a constant temperature between 18°C and 29°C.
  • Keep the room temperature between 20°C and 25°C before and during installation.
  • Suitable for hydronic underfloor heating systems embedded in a cement screed. Not suitable for electric heating films.
  • In wet rooms, install a suitable waterproof membrane beneath the flooring to protect the subfloor against water entering through the joints.
  • Not suitable for walk-in showers or other areas with a drain built directly into the floor.

Maintenance

  • Sweep or vacuum the floor regularly.
  • Clean up spills immediately.
  • Use a slightly damp mop and a suitable non-abrasive detergent diluted in water.
  • Do not use bleach, wax, oil or abrasive products.
  • Do not drag heavy or sharp objects across the floor.
  • Use felt pads underneath furniture and place a doormat without a rubber backing at each entrance.

Tip

When calculating the number of planks required, add an extra 10% to allow for cutting waste.
